연구실 소개

민기복 교수의 연구실은 균열을 가진 암반에서의 유체-기계 상호작용을 중심으로 한 수리기계적 거동 분석과 그 응용을 연구합니다. 특히 지열에너지 개발을 위한 수압자극 기반의 균열 생성 메커니즘과 그 동역학을 수치모의 및 실험을 통해 규명하고 있으며, 핵폐기물 저장소 등의 안전성 평가를 위한 균열성 암반의 등가물성 특성 산정에도 기여하고 있습니다. 이는 환경 안전과 에너지 자원 개발의 핵심 기초 기술로 작용합니다.

The first hydraulic stimulation for enhanced geothermal system (EGS) development in Korea had been conducted in the PX-2 well of 4,348 m depth in Pohang EGS site from January 29th to February 20th, 2016. We present key observations and analyses of the first and second stimulations conducted at the Pohang enhanced geothermal system (EGS) site in Korea in 2016. The first hydraulic stimulation was conducted in the PX-2 well of 4.3 km depth, with the maximum wellhead pressure of 89.2 MPa, the maximum injection rate of 46.8 L/s, and a total injected volume of 1970 m3.
