15The increasing significance of hydrogen (H2) gas as a clean energy source has prompted the development of high-performance H2 gas sensors. Palladium (Pd)-based sensors, with their advantages of selectivity, scalability, and cost-effectiveness, have shown promise in this regard. However, the long-term stability and reliability of Pd-based sensors remain a challenge. This study not only identifies the exact cause for performance degradation in palladium (Pd) nanowire H2<
With the increased clinical interest in myelin-oligodendrocyte glycoprotein-antibody-associated disease (MOGAD), the international MOGAD panel's proposed criteria were recently released. To evaluate its diagnostic performance, the criteria were applied to a single-center cohort. Among the enrolled 100 patients, 93 fulfilled the criteria throughout the median 24 months of follow-up. All 36 patients with a clear-positive MOG-immunoglobulin G (IgG) satisfied the supporting features, except one who
This study gives a novel insight for the risk factor of postoperative delirium.
Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are nano-sized particles secreted by almost all cell types, and they mediate various biological processes via cell-to-cell communication. Compared with parental cells for therapeutic purposes, stem cell-derived EVs have several advantages such as reduced risk of rejection, less oncogenic potential, ease of long-term storage, lower chance of thromboembolism, and readiness for immediate use. Recent studies have demonstrated that EVs from stem cells, mostly from mesench
The presence of anti-titin antibody is associated with more frequent hospital utilization. Personalized explanation and careful monitoring strategy could be required in patients with thymoma-associated MG with anti-titin antibody for the timely detection of relapses.
An abnormal result on the RNS test, especially in the limb muscles, is an independent predictor of the conversion from ocular to generalized MG. Applying the RNS test to limb muscles could be useful for predicting the conversion to generalized MG in patients with ocular onset.
Antibodies against myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG-IgG) have recently been established as a biomarker for MOG-antibody-associated disease (MOGAD), which is a distinct demyelinating disease of the central nervous system. Among the diverse clinical phenotypes of MOGAD, myelitis is the second-most-common presentation in adults, followed by optic neuritis. While some features overlap, there are multiple reports of distinctive clinical and radiological features of MOG-IgG-associated myelitis
Recent studies have shown that mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) can play a restorative role against degenerative joint diseases in horses. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether fetal bone marrow-derived cells (BMC)-derived nanoparticles (BMC-NPs) can stimulate the survival of equine chondrocytes. Equine fetal BMCs were isolated and characterized, and the role of BMC-NPs s in equine chondrocytes undergoing inflammatory cell death was examined. BMCs have several characteristics, such a
Although myelitis is the second most common presentation in adults with myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) antibody-associated disease (MOGAD), studies on MOG-IgG seroprevalence in patients with myelitis episodes are sparse. Herein, we investigated MOG-IgG seroprevalence in Korean adults who exhibited myelitis since 2017. Among 151 adults with acute myelitis, 11 (7.3%) tested positive for MOG-IgG by the initial screening and 10 (6.6%) patients were finally diagnosed with MOGAD during the
It is important to accurately estimate the flying height (FH) of the ultralow flying slider in hard disk drive (HDD). Especially, during the track-seeking motion, the FH can change by the motion from inner diameter (ID) to outer diameter (OD) and vice versa. The FH variation induced by the track-seeking motion happens over discrete track media (DTM). Therefore, the FH variation during track-seeking is an important issue and it certainly should be considered for DTM. In this research, we performe
