연구실 소개
서민석 교수의 연구실은 마이크로유체 기반의 정밀한 입자 및 에멀젼 구조 제작 기술을 핵심으로 하며, 다양한 형태의 이중 에멀젼과 고순도 입자 조합을 통해 복잡한 동적 격자 구조를 설계하고 있습니다. 특히 유체의 유동과 기하학적 구속 조건을 조합한 방법으로 고정밀도의 다공성 및 형상 제어된 나노입자 및 미세입자를 합성하고 있으며, 이는 의료 영상 진단 및 치료 응용에 응용 가능한 하이브리드 나노소재 개발로 이어지고 있습니다. 또한, 유전자 분석을 통한 우유 합성 관련 유전자 기능 규명을 통해 생명공학적 응용도 함께 탐색하고 있습니다.

Perfluorocarbon (PFC) nanodroplet agents are exciting new biomaterials that can be remotely vapourized by ultrasound or light to change into micron-scale gas bubbles in situ. Results of our analyses reveal that sexual dimorphism of metabolic tissues and pituitary gland in cattle involves various biological processes. Several differentially expressed genes between sexes in cattle and rat species are shared, but show tissue-specific patterns. Finally, we concluded that two distinct statistical approaches have their advantages and disadvantages in RNA-seq studies investigating multiple tissues.
These results reveal that probiotic intervention modulated the composition of gut microbiota and reduced the abundance of potential pathogens (i.e. Citrobacter and Klebsiella). In addition, methanogens (i.e. Methanobrevibacter) associated with the gastrointestinal symptom in an adult human.
From the experiment we confirm that CBFS is more excellent than up-to-date feature selection algorithms including FeaLect. CBFS can be applied to microarray gene selection, text categorization, and image classification.
