연구실 소개

도상환 교수의 연구실은 마취 및 통증 관리 분야에서 약리적 효과를 극대화하고 부작용을 최소화하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 특히 마그네슘 황산염의 마취-진통 보조 효과, 덱스메타ASON의 기도 합병증 예방 효과, 덱스메티도솜의 옥시포이드 감소 효과 등 다양한 마취약물의 기전과 임상적 응용을 심층적으로 연구하고 있습니다. 또한 신경전달물질 수송체(예: EAAT3)에 대한 약물 작용 기전을 분자생물학적 기법을 통해 규명하며, 마취제의 신경보호적 메커니즘을 밝혀내는 데 기여하고 있습니다.

The PLMA showed significantly lower oropharyngeal leak pressures than did the LTS or CobraPLA in the neck extension and rotation positions. Caution is warranted when changing the position of the head and neck when using the Cobra-PLA or LTS as gastric insufflation or ventilatory difficulty may occur.

By using the Xenopus oocyte expression system, we investigated the effects of lidocaine on a glutamate transporter (EAAT3). Our findings suggest that lidocaine enhances EAAT3 activity at certain concentrations and that protein kinase C and phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase may mediate these lidocaine effects.

Our results show that chronic ethanol exposure decreases EAAT3 activity at clinically relevant concentrations and that this effect may be protein kinase C-dependent. Such an effect could be a neuroadaptive mechanism to overcome the inhibitory effect of ethanol on the excitatory neurotransmission.

By use of the Xenopus oocyte expression system, we investigated the effects of isoflurane on muscarinic signaling and the role of protein kinase C in these effects. Our findings suggest that isoflurane inhibits muscarinic receptors through activation of protein kinase C and that the relevant phosphorylation sites are located outside the third intracellular loop.
