연구실 소개

박상우 교수의 연구실은 전염병의 전파 역학을 수학적 모델링과 통계적 분석을 바탕으로 연구합니다. 특히 감염자의 증상 여부에 관계없이 전파가 일어날 수 있는 무증상 전파의 영향을 분석하고, 기본 재생수(R₀)와 증가률(r) 간의 관계를 정교하게 규명합니다. 기초적인 전파 역학의 이해를 바탕으로 한 정책적 시사점을 도출하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다.

Abstract On January 20, 2020, the first COVID-19 case was confirmed in South Korea. After a rapid outbreak, the number of incident cases has been consistently decreasing since early March; this decrease has been widely attributed to its intensive testing. We report here on the likely role of social distancing in reducing transmission in South Korea. Our analysis suggests that transmission may still be persisting in some regions.
