15Mesenchymal stem cell therapy is a novel regenerative approach for treating tendinopathy. Here, we evaluated the safety and efficacy of allogeneic adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (allo-ASC) in treating lateral epicondylosis (LE). Under ultrasound guidance, allo-ASCs mixed with fibrin glue were injected into the hypoechoic common extensor tendon lesions of 12 participants with chronic LE; 6 subjects each were administered 10(6) or 10(7) cells in 1 ml. Safety was evaluated at day 3 and week
The destructive economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic was distributed unequally across the population. Gender, race and ethnicity, age, education level, and a worker's industry and occupation all mattered. We analyze the initial negative effect and the lingering effect through the recovery phase across demographic and socio-economic groups. The initial negative impact on employment was larger for women, minorities, the less educated, and the young, even after accounting for the industries and
In tendon injury, MSCs can enhance tendon healing by secreting their own protein and have potential as a therapeutic option in human tendinopathy.
It has been reported that low skeletal muscle mass correlates with knee osteoarthritis in obese individuals. This study aimed to investigate whether lower limb skeletal muscle mass is independently associated with knee osteoarthritis in the general population.
Capsular stiffness of the glenohumeral joint significantly correlated with limitation in shoulder ROM, especially in the abduction and external rotation directions, whereas there were no meaningful relationships with shoulder pain during motion or rest. This is the first study to reveal the relationships between in vivo quantified capsular stiffness and shoulder ROM limitations.
Our meta-analysis revealed that ESWT can improve symptoms, functional outcomes, and electrophysiologic parameters in patients with CTS. Further research is needed to confirm the long-term effects and the optimal ESWT protocol for CTS.
Our meta-analysis revealed that BT after HFS improved overall physical functioning. Positive effects on balance, gait, lower limb strength, performance task, activity of daily living, and health-related quality of life were evident. Therefore, BT should be specifically included in postoperative rehabilitation programs and balance must be thoroughly checked in elderly patients with hip fractures.
There was no significant difference between resting and antihypertensive medication in reducing BP of hypertensive urgency patients. This finding suggests the clinical efficacy of resting in managing hypertensive urgency.
The TTT produced deeper CCD compared with that of the TFT-R23 because the finger strength of the TTT was significantly higher than that of the TFT-R23.
