임석아 교수의 연구실은 주로 유방암의 분자적 기전과 치료 반응 예측을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히, HER2, EGFR 등 표적 치료에 중요한 타겟 단백질의 기능과 약물 내성 메커니즘을 규명하며, 신약 개발 및 개인화된 치료 전략 수립에 기여하고 있습니다. 또한, 신체 성장 인자인 레프틴이 호르몬 치료에 미치는 영향과 같은 종양 미세환경 요인의 역할에 대해서도 심층적인 연구를 수행하고 있습니다.

This exploratory analysis demonstrates that some patients with endocrine-resistant MBC derive significant and prolonged benefit when treated with palbociclib-fulvestrant, with fewer patients experiencing similar efficacy with placebo-fulvestrant.
