연구실 소개
신승한 교수의 연구실은 주로 미숙아의 뇌손상과 신경발달 이상에 초점을 맞춘 임상 및 전임상 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 특히 미숙아에서 발생하는 뇌질환인 위축성 뇌손상(WMI)과 출생 전후의 염증 반응, 수술적 치료의 영향 등에 대한 기전과 치료 전략을 탐구하고 있으며, 신경학적 예후를 개선하기 위한 다학제적 접근을 지속하고 있습니다. 최근에는 NIV-NAVA, 에타네르셉트 등의 치료법에 대한 임상적 적용 가능성도 함께 연구하고 있습니다.

It appears that etanercept reduce WMI in the neonatal rat brain via attenuation of systemic and local inflammation. This study provides preclinical data suggesting etanercept-mediated modulation of inflammation as a promising approach to reduce WMI caused by sepsis or necrotizing enterocolitis in preterm infants.

For mechanically ventilated preterm infants, the use of remifentanil at 0.25 μg/kg/min as an analgesic for short procedures represents a therapeutic option. Our pilot study suggests the need for larger randomized trials.
The high prevalence (3/5, 60%) of follicular thyroid carcinoma in patients with PPB who were treated with HDC and HSCT is striking. This suggests that, in patients with PPB, either HDC or HSCT contributes to the development of thyroid cancer. Clinicians should be advised of the high risk of thyroid carcinoma occurrence when HDC and HSCT are being contemplated in children with PPB.

The principal objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of surface pretreatment with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) on the cellular functions of human bone marrow stromal cells (hBMSCs). The surfaces of tissue culture plates (TCPs) were pretreated by adding PRP followed by centrifugation to bring platelets closer to the surface, followed by incubation for 60 min at 37°C.
