연구실 소개
이 교수의 연구실은 주로 고도로 분해된 생체 조직, 특히 오래된 뼈에서의 DNA 회수 및 분석 기술 개발에 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 특히 총 탈회법과 이온 교환 컬럼을 조합한 고감도 DNA 추출 방법, 그리고 저복합성 DNA 분석을 위한 다량 병렬 시퀀싱(MPS) 기반 STR 분석 기법을 개발하여 재난 피해자 신원 확인과 역사적 유물의 유전적 분석에 기여하고 있습니다. 또한, 태반 조직에서의 백혈구 기원 분석 및 유전자 마커를 활용한 친족관계 규명 기술 개발을 통해 법의학적 유전자 분석의 정밀도를 높이고자 합니다.

15We investigated whether a combination of recently introduced methods, total demineralization and ion-exchange columns, would increase DNA recovery from old bone. The effects on STR typing results, using a two-step PCR protocol that combines the annealing and extension steps, were determined using samples at various DNA concentrations.
