To investigate the association between organic solvent exposure and menstrual disturbance, we conducted a cross-sectional study among 1408 petrochemical workers in China. Based on an industrial hygiene evaluation, we classified the workshops according to the presence or absence of organic solvents (benzene, styrene, toluene, or xylene). We used logistic regression to estimate odds ratios and 95% confidence intervals for prolonged menstrual cycle length (oligomenorrhea: average cycle length > 35

Heated tobacco product use among Korean adolescents
Heewon Kang, Sung‐Il Cho
SJR Q1FWCI 4.8Tobacco ControlOA

Considering the recent introduction of HTPs to the Korean market and less than 1% prevalence of e-cigarette when first introduced, the prevalence of ever HTP use among Korean adolescents is an important concern. The results showing high polytobacco use and the lack of an association between HTP use and cigarette quit attempts call for a ban on HTP advertisements with modified harm claims.

The cardiovascular risk factors and mortality associated with greater BMI were higher among younger than older non-smoking Korean men. These findings indicate that obesity has a greater impact among younger men with respect to premature cardiovascular related deaths.

Work–Life Imbalance and Musculoskeletal Disorders among South Korean Workers
Young‐Mee Kim, Sung‐Il Cho
SJR Q2FWCI 5.4International Journal of Environmental Research and Public HealthOA

Employed workers often have family responsibilities such as childcare or homemaking. This dual burden may increase work-related health problems, particularly if there are conflicts between work and family responsibilities. This study assessed whether difficulty in work-life balance is associated with musculoskeletal disorders (MSD) among Korean employees. Data from the population-based Korean Working Conditions Survey of 2011, including 28,640 male and 21,392 female workers, were used. Men and w
