연구실 소개

조성엽 교수의 연구실은 암의 이질성과 암 미세환경을 이해하기 위해 환자 유래 종양 모델(PDX)을 기반으로 한 정밀 옹호학적 연구를 핵심으로 합니다. 특히 신호 전달 경로와 대사 변화를 조절하는 단백질인 트랜스글루타민산효소 2(TG2)의 기능과 역할을 중심으로 암 진행 메커니즘, 약물 저항성, 염증 반응과의 연관성을 규명하고 있습니다. 이와 함께 희귀 뇌종양인 글리오사르코마의 유전적 특성과 암의 산소 부족 상태에서의 세포 사멸 신호 전달 경로에 대한 기초 연구도 진행 중입니다.
