연구실 소개

장성호 교수의 연구실은 시냅스 전달 메커니즘과 뉴런 내 단백질의 동적 조절을 중심으로, 신경전달물질 분비와 수용체 이동, 시냅스 구조 유지를 규명하고자 합니다. 특히 시냅스 소포의 재활용, 마이크로튜불의 운동, ARF6와 같은 신호전달 분자의 시냅스 형성에 대한 이중적 역할 등 신경세포의 구조적·기능적 조절 메커니즘을 다룹니다. 고해상도 영상 기술과 분자생물학적 접근을 융합하여, 뉴런의 시냅스 기능 이상과 관련된 정신질환의 기초를 탐색하고 있습니다.

Despite being a highly enriched synaptic vesicle (SV) protein and a candidate gene for autism, the physiological function of SCAMP5 remains mostly enigmatic.
