연구실 소개
원태빈 교수의 연구실은 뇌신경외과 및 정형외과 분야에서 뇌신경외과적 수술 기법 개발과 함께, 뇌신경외과적 수술의 정밀도 향상과 환자 맞춤형 수술 전략 수립을 목표로 하고 있습니다. 특히 뇌신경외과 수술의 수술 전 시뮬레이션, 환자 맞춤형 수술 예행 연습, 수술 후 회복 과정의 생물학적 메커니즘 규명에 초점을 맞추고 있으며, 뇌신경외과적 수술의 안정성과 예후 향상에 기여하고자 합니다. 최근에는 뇌신경외과 수술의 수술 전 시뮬레이션 기술과 조직 재생 메커니즘 연구를 통해 수술의 정밀도와 안전성을 동시에 향상시키는 데 주력하고 있습니다.

15When sleep posture is changed from supine to lateral, obstruction due to structures such as tongue base and larynx improves dramatically. Obstruction in lateral position is mostly due to obstruction at the oropharyngeal LWs. Therefore, position dependency is mostly determined by LW collapsibility. Evaluating the changes of the upper airway according to sleep position can further characterize the upper airway collapsibility and can be used for tailored treatment planning.
An endoscopic-including surgical approach was associated with improved local control and survival in sinonasal malignant melanoma patients. Postoperative radiotherapy helped increase the local control rate.
The current rhinologic VSE shows sufficient realism to allow patient-specific surgical rehearsal of the sinus and ventral skull base. Further validation studies are needed to assess the benefits of performing patient-specific rehearsal.

In all, 62% of the patients were responders, i.e. had a decreased polyp size >25% after treatment. SNOT-20 score tended to decrease for all patients but significantly only for the responder group (p < 0.01). Eighteen of the responders had a medical history of allergic rhinitis, but only five of the nonresponders did (p = 0.026, Odds ratio = 4.26). Responder group polyps showed significantly less immunoreactivity of glucocorticoid receptor β than polyps from the nonresponder group.
Three distinct groups undergoing different techniques to correct the deformity were noted.
