The addition of HBOT to standard MT is a reasonable treatment option for SSNHL, particularly for those patients with severe to profound hearing loss at baseline and those who undergo HBOT as a salvage treatment with a prolonged duration. Optimal criteria for patient selection and a standardized regimen for HBOT should be applied in routine practice, with future trials to investigate maximal treatment benefit.

Psoriasis increases the risk of atrial fibrillation (AF) and thromboembolic events (TE). There is limited information on the effect of psoriasis severity on AF and TE. In this study, psoriasis patients were enrolled from the Korean National Insurance Service-National Sample Cohort (2004-2008). Diagnosis and disease severity were determined from claims data. Newly diagnosed non-valvular AF and TE were identified during a 9.6-year follow-up. The effect of psoriasis severity on AF and TE was evalua

LSD is uncommon with contemporary drug-eluting stents, regardless of the type of stent platform. LSD is mainly associated with procedural factors, especially with additional downstream procedures which require the passage of devices through the stent. Careful manipulation of poststent imaging or procedural devices is required to prevent LSD. More data are needed to clarify the impact of LSD on clinical events.

A combination of greater PM2.5 exposure and higher genetic predisposition to particular CVDs was modestly associated with elevated risks of cardiovascular death and CVDs. Not only alleviating PM2.5 exposure in the general population but also implementing individualized preventive approach for those at high genetic risk might be beneficial.

In middle-aged and elderly Koreans without CVD, baPWV was identified as having a moderately positive correlation with four different risk scores. The correlation was stronger in women than in men, implying the better performance of baPWV in women for predicting cardiovascular risk of healthy population.
