권태경 교수의 연구실은 주로 무선 센서 네트워크와 사용자 인증 기반의 보안 기술에 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 특히 저전력 환경에서의 안정적이고 효율적인 키 협약 및 인증 프로토콜 설계, PIN 기반 인증의 보안성 향상, 그리고 실세계 공격 시나리오(예: 어깨너머 도용)에 대비한 새로운 공격 모델과 방어 기법 개발을 주요 연구 방향으로 삼고 있습니다. 특히 사용자 친화성과 보안성을 동시에 확보하는 실용적인 보안 솔루션 개발에 기여하고 있습니다.

Limitations to the bandwidth of wireless links has motivated the development of adaptive multimedia services where the bandwidth of a call can be dynamically adjusted. We propose a new authentication and key distribution protocol which is adaptable and reliable for communication networks. The secrets for authentication, which are chosen from a relatively small space by common users, are easy to guess. Our protocol gives a solution to protect the weak secrets from guessing attacks.
