연구실 소개
차원재 교수의 연구실은 뇌신경외과 및 신경외과학 분야에서 림프부종, 뇌종양, 뇌혈관질환 등에 대한 기초 및 임상 연구를 중심으로 진행되고 있습니다. 특히 뇌신경외과 분야에서의 혁신적 수술 기법 개발과 함께, 뇌종양의 분자생물학적 기전 규명 및 치료 전략 수립에 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 또한, 신경외과 영상 진단 및 수술적 접근의 정밀도 향상에도 기여하고 있습니다.

15Abstract Background Pyriform sinus fistula is a rare brachial pouch anomaly. However, it is difficult and risky to remove the fistula tract completely. Circumferential chemocauterization of the internal opening with trichloroacetic acid (TCA) for pyriform sinus fistula is simple, reproducible, reliable, and causes less morbidity. AciCC of the parotid gland is a rare malignancy that has features of less aggressive behavior, and good prognosis. Intraoperative frozen section examination may be helpful in the diagnosis of AciCC of the parotid gland because of the low sensitivity of preoperative computed tomography scan and FNAC. Surgery with adjuvant postoperative radiotherapy is satisfactory for disease control.

The highly significant survival gain resulting from their use in perioperative adjuvant treatment in vivo and their anticancer effect in vitro suggest that HIF1α inhibitors might be candidates for perioperative adjuvant chemotherapy for thyroid cancer. Combining adjuvant HIF1α inhibitor chemotherapy with surgery might be an effective therapeutic strategy for thyroid cancer that is refractory to conventional treatments.
