백용주 교수의 연구실은 비평형 통계역학과 비평형 상전이를 중심으로, 비평형 시스템에서 나타나는 강한 플럭투에이션과 거대분포함수의 특이성에 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 특히, 비평형 상태에서의 전류 분포, 상전이, 상호작용의 장거리 특성, 그리고 사회적 전파 모델 등 다양한 시스템에서 나타나는 비평형 거동을 수학적·물리적 프레임워크로 분석합니다. 이와 함께 열역학적 불확도 원리, 엔트로피 경계, 에너지 효율성 제약 등 비평형 열역학의 기본 원리 간의 통합적 구조를 규명하고자 합니다.

Generic Long-Range Interactions Between Passive Bodies in an Active Fluid

A single nonspherical body placed in an active fluid generates currents via breaking of time-reversal symmetry. Dynamics of self-propelled particles in vibrated dense granular media
