홍유석 교수의 연구실은 제품 설계에서 제조, 폐기 후 재활용에 이르는 전주기적 접근을 기반으로 한 지속가능한 제품 공학을 핵심으로 합니다. 특히 설계 변경의 영향 전파 분석, 환경 고려형 제품 아키텍처(eco-architecture) 설계, 폐기물 최소화를 위한 분해 및 재생산 공정 최적화 등에서 기여하고 있습니다. 기술적 효율성과 환경적 책임을 동시에 고려한 제품 설계 및 제조 전략 개발이 주요 연구 방향입니다.
