연구실 소개
조영민 교수의 연구실은 당뇨병 및 대사질환의 분자 기전과 치료 전략을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 인슐린 저항성과 관련된 생체마커인 RBP4의 역할, 간세포 및 줄기세포를 활용한 미토콘드리아 기능 회복 메커니즘, GLP-1 기반 당뇨 치료의 생리학적 기전과 임상적 응용에 이르기까지 다양한 대사 조절 메커니즘을 규명하고 있습니다. 특히 SGLT2 억제제의 신장 보호 효과나 산화 스트레스 및 세포 노화와의 연관성 등, 당뇨병 합병증의 예방 전략에 초점을 맞추고 있습니다.
