정연수 교수의 연구실은 항생제 내성 미생물의 전파와 진단 기반의 감염병 연구를 중심으로 활동하고 있습니다. 특히 반려동물, 가축, 인간 간의 항생제 내성 박테리아(예: 대장균, 엔테로코커스)의 교차 전파를 탐색하며, 임상적 진단의 정밀도 향상을 위한 신속하고 안전한 생검 기법(예: 경직장에서 경직개로의 전환)과 혁신적 진단 기술(예: MRI, PSMA-PET)의 융합적 응용을 연구하고 있습니다. 고령화 사회의 특성에 맞춘 맞춤형 진단 전략 개발이 핵심 과제입니다.
