연구실 소개

강대희 교수의 연구실은 유전적 소인과 환경 요인의 상호작용이 암 발생에 미치는 영향을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히 산화 스트레스와 관련된 효소(예: SOD, GST, COMT)의 유전자 다형성과 폴리사이클릭 방향족 화합물(PAHs) 같은 환경 노출 요인이 암(특히 전립선암, 유방암) 발병에 미치는 영향을 분석하고 있습니다. 생체 내 노출 정도를 측정하는 생물학적 지표와 유전자형 간의 연관성을 규명함으로써, 개인화된 암 예방 전략의 기초를 마련하고자 합니다.

A case-control study was performed to assess the potential influence of catechol O-methyl transferase (COMT) genotype on the risk of breast cancer in Korean women. One hundred and sixty-three histologically confirmed incident breast cancer cases and 163 age- and menopausal status-matched control individuals with no present or previous history of cancer were selected as study subjects.
