Eri Tatsumi教授の研究室では、小惑星の表面物質の成り立ちや宇宙風化の影響を解明するため、探査機や地上望遠鏡を用いた多波長・多スケールの光度計測と分光測定を実施しています。特に、RyuguやBennuといったC型小惑星の表面に存在する酸化鉄を含むペーハイドシリケートや、非水素含有シリケートを示す外生的物質の同定が主な研究テーマです。これらの研究を通じて、太陽系初期の有機物や水の分布、小惑星の熱的・化学的進化のメカニズムを解明することを目指しています。

Context. The Hayabusa2 spacecraft launched by Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency has been conducting observations of the asteroid (162173) Ryugu since June 2018. ABSTRACT Using the multiband imager MapCam on board the OSIRIS-REx (Origins, Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification, and Security–Regolith Explorer) spacecraft, we identified 77 instances of proposed exogenic materials distributed globally on the surface of the B-type asteroid (101955) Bennu.
