연구실 소개
지의규 교수의 연구실은 소재의학 및 종양학 분야에서 국소 치료 전략과 보조 치료의 융합을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히 직장암, 간세포암, 담도암 등 특정 암 종류에 대해 수술 이전 및 이후의 화방치료(chemoradiotherapy) 전략의 최적화와 생존율 향상을 목표로 하고 있으며, 국소 진행성 암에서의 예후 예측 지표 개발 및 약물의 방사선 감수성 향상 메커니즘에 대한 기초 연구도 병행하고 있습니다. 이는 환자 중심의 개인화된 치료 전략 수립에 기여하고자 하는 연구 철학을 반영합니다.

15Adjuvant chemoradiotherapy after curative resection can achieve a long-term survival in patients with EHBD cancer. Resection margin status, number of involved lymph nodes, and histologic differentiation are associated with locoregional relapse, distant metastasis, and overall survival, respectively. Distant metastasis was the major pattern of failure, possibly due to the increased locoregional control by use of adjuvant chemoradiotherapy. Intensification of systemic treatment is warranted.
505 Background: Circumferential resection margin (CRM) and distal resection margin (DRM) have different impact on clinical outcomes after preoperative chemoradiotherapy (CRT) followed by surgery. Locoregional RT was associated with significantly longer survival in BCLC stage C HCC patients who were treated with sorafenib. Therefore, incorporating locoregional RT could improve the dismal prognosis for these patients.

Whole brain radiotherapy (WBRT) is a mainstay of the treatment for brain metastases (BM). We evaluated prognostic factors in colorectal cancer (CRC) patients undergoing WBRT for BM. The medical records of 106 CRC patients undergoing WBRT for BM between 2000 and 2014 at three institutions were reviewed. Radiotherapy for isolated locoregional relapse after mastectomy achieved locoregional control in about two-thirds of patients. Major pattern of failure was distant relapse, and systemic therapy is warranted to prevent secondary dissemination.
Survival and recurrence patterns after adjuvant chemoradiotherapy are significantly affected by perioperative CA19-9 change. This may have important implications in patient selection for adjuvant chemoradiotherapy and clinical trial design.
