연구실 소개
김은지 교수의 연구실은 유전자 편집 기술과 생물의학적 질병 메커니즘을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히 CRISPR-Cas9를 활용한 정밀한 유전자 편집 기술 개발과 함께, 암 치료 및 피부 건강 개선을 위한 천연물질의 생리적 작용 기전을 규명하고자 합니다. 또한, 유전자 편집의 정밀도를 높이기 위한 단일 가닥 절단 효소 기반 기술 개발도 함께 진행 중입니다. 이는 암, 퇴행성 질환, 피부 노화 등 다양한 질병의 예방 및 치료 전략 개발에 기여하고자 합니다.

Inflammatory pseudotumor (IPT)-like follicular dendritic cell (FDC) sarcoma is a rare neoplasm typically occurring in the spleen or liver. Plasmablastic lymphoma (PBL) is very rare, and predominantly occurs in Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-positive individuals. Development of metastasis in eyelid sebaceous gland carcinoma might be attributed to increased number of CSCs or acquisition of dedifferentiated phenotype. Our findings suggest that CSCs are involved in the disease progression of eyelid sebaceous gland carcinoma, and in particular, expression of ALDH1 is a predictor of a poor outcome.
Utilisation of the PI3K-PKB, MEK-ERK and mTOR-p70S6K signalling pathways in melanoma, as determined by phosphorylation of signalling components, varies widely across a series of cell lines, and does not directly reflect mutation of genes coding these components.
