연구실 소개
배희준 교수의 연구실은 뇌졸중의 뇌영상 소견, 특히 흰질질환(white matter hyperintensities)이 뇌졸중 예후에 미치는 영향을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히 뇌졸중의 유형별로 나타나는 뇌손상 패atters와 생존율, 기능적 회복에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 분석하며, 임상적 질환 관리와 예후 예측 지표 개발에 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 또한, 뇌졸중 환자의 입원 중 합병증 관리와 수면 주기별 발병 특성 등 생체 리듬과의 연관성에 대해서도 체계적인 연구를 수행하고 있습니다.

15Leukoaraiosis or white matter hyperintensities are frequently observed on magnetic resonance imaging of stroke patients. We investigated how white matter hyperintensity volumes affect stroke outcomes, generally and by subtype. In total, 5035 acute ischaemic stroke patients were enrolled. Night-onset strokes, compared with day-onset strokes, are associated with higher presenting neurologic severity, more frequent END, and worse 3-month functional outcome. These findings suggest that circadian time of onset is an important additional variable for inclusion in epidemiologic natural history studies and in treatment trials of neuroprotective and reperfusion agents for acute ischemic stroke.
