연구실 소개
김홍빈 교수의 연구실은 항생제 내성 미생물, 특히 플라스미드 매개 항생제 저항성 유전자와 다제내성 펌프 유전자를 중심으로 병원성 박테리아의 내성 메커니즘을 규명하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 특히 에시리히아 콕시아, 케르브스 페니쿨라, 스테파질로코쿠스 아우레우스 등 주요 병원성 박테리아에서의 항생제 내성 유전자 발현과 이들의 유전적 이동 메커니즘을 분석하며, 임상적 치료에 영향을 미치는 내성의 진화 과정을 추적하고 있습니다. 또한, 결핵 및 콜레라 등 감염성 질환의 진단 및 치료에 활용 가능한 분자진단 기법의 개발에도 기여하고 있습니다.

15Recently, several plasmid-mediated quinolone resistance (PMQR) genes conferring low levels of quinolone resistance have been discovered.
