연구실 소개
우홍균 교수의 연구실은 항암 치료와 방사선 치료의 융합 전략을 중심으로, 특히 소재암, 편도암, 인두암 등 상피세포 유형의 뇌경련암에서의 치료 성과 향상에 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 고정밀 방사선 치료 기법인 IMRT 및 SIB 기법을 활용한 부작용 최소화와 국소 제어율 향상에 대한 연구를 지속적으로 수행하고 있으며, 신체적 기능 보존과 생존율 향상을 동시에 달성하는 치료 전략 개발이 핵심 과제입니다. 특히 신재생의학적 관점에서 암 치료의 생물학적 기반을 규명하고, 생물학적 마커를 기반으로 한 개인 맞춤형 치료 전략 수립에도 기여하고 있습니다.

15Virus-associated malignancies and sarcomatoid cancers correlate with high PD-L1 expression, however, underlying mechanisms remain controversial. Programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression is regarded as a predictive marker for anti-PD-1/PD-L1 therapy. The purpose of study was to explore the changes in PD-L1 expression in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) during treatment. Paired HNSCC tissues prior to and after cisplatin-based treatment were evaluated to determine PD-L1 protein expression by immunohistochemistry. Among the 35 HNSCC patient samples, PD-L1 expression status changed after treatment in 37.1% (13/35) of samples.

Definitive RT achieved a high cure rate, voice preservation, and tolerable toxicity in early glottic cancer. T2 stage and anterior commissural involvement were prognostic factors for local control. Further optimization of the RT method is needed to reduce the risk of ipsilateral tumor recurrence.
