연구실 소개
최혁진 교수의 연구실은 주로 돼지 신장과 각막을 활용한 혈연계 이식 기술 개발에 초점을 맞추고 있으며, 특히 돼지 각막을 탈세포화하여 인간 환자에게 적용 가능한 생체재료로 활용하는 데 성공적으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 이는 기증자 부족 문제를 해결하고 장기 이식의 가능성을 넓히는 데 기여하며, 면역 거부 반응을 줄이기 위한 면역억제제 최소화 전략과 함께 연구되고 있습니다. 또한, 의료 영상 기술을 활용한 정밀 진단 및 이미지 처리 기법 개발을 통해 임상적 응용의 정확성과 안정성을 높이는 데에도 기여하고 있습니다.

An 18 year old male who had been taking vigabatrin for complex partial seizure was referred for visual field testing. The cumulative vigabatrin dose was about 6.0 kg over the seven and a half year period. There were bilateral symmetric visual field constrictions with greater loss of the nasal field (fig 1).
