Hyun Woo Park 교수의 연구실은 생물의학적 이온 채널과 전기생리학을 중심으로, 특히 CFTR 및 WNK4 등 전사적·기능적 이상이 관련된 질병의 분자 기전을 규명하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 고도로 정밀한 이온 운반 메커니즘과 세포 내 산화 스트레스 반응, 특히 칼슘 유입 조절을 통한 혈압 조절 기전에 대한 기초 연구를 진행하고 있으며, 이는 고혈압 및 낭포성 섬유증과 같은 유전성 질환의 치료 전략 개발에 기여합니다. 또한, 신경 및 종양 생물학적 맥락에서의 이온 채널 기능과 그 기능 이상이 질병 진행에 미치는 영향을 다각도로 분석하고 있습니다.
