연구실 소개

조혜성 교수의 연구실은 미토콘드리아의 구조와 기능 조절 메커니즘을 중심으로, 세포 내 미토콘드리아의 분열·융합, 분포 및 생합성 조절을 다룹니다. 특히, HBx 단백질이 미토콘드리아의 이동성과 분포에 미치는 영향, cAMP 및 성장 인자에 의한 수용체 발현 조절, 그리고 세포주기와 연관된 미토콘드리아 생합성 조절 메커니즘을 규명하고자 합니다. 이는 암 발생 및 노화와 관련된 세포 기능 이상의 기초 메커니즘을 밝히는 데 기여합니다.

The structural gene for Escherichia coli thioesterase I (called tesA) has been cloned by use of sequence data obtained from the purified protein. The tesA gene was mapped at 530 kilobase pair of the E. coli physical map (minute 11.6 of E. coli genetic map). We have compared regulation of progesterone receptor (PR) gene expression in MCF-7 human breast cancer cells by cAMP and that by estradiol (E2) and insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I).
