연구실 소개

김정민 교수의 연구실은 뇌혈관 질환, 특히 뇌경색의 병태생리와 예후 예측을 중심으로 고해상도 혈관벽 영상 기반의 뇌동맥경화성 병변 분석을 수행하고 있습니다. 특히, 뇌경색 재발 위험을 예측할 수 있는 병변의 투과성 및 구조적 특성에 대한 영상 생물학적 분석을 핵심으로 하며, 뇌혈류 역학과 관련된 병변 패atters의 변화를 규명하고자 합니다. 또한 신경퇴행성질환과 영양소 대사 상태의 연관성에 대해서도 장기적 관점에서 연구를 진행하고 있습니다.

Limb length and dementia in an older Korean population

Shorter limb length was associated with lower childhood socioeconomic status, as estimated by the presence/duration of formal education. It was also independently associated with dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Patients with advanced stage adult MMD tended to have ischaemic lesions involving the cortex and posterior part of the brain and the stroke mechanism in these patients was largely associated with haemodynamic compromise. Our results suggest that the lesion pattern of ischaemic stroke may change along with the extent of arterial involvement.
