연구실 소개

육정환 교수의 연구실은 암의 유전자적 전환 메커니즘과 바이러스 감염의 세포 및 분자적 기전을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히 EGFR 돌연변이를 가진 폐암에서 발생하는 소세포폐암으로의 전이 기전, SARS-CoV-2가 폐 알베올러스 유형 2 세포에 미치는 영향, 그리고 L1 역전이 등 유전자 변형의 누적 메커니즘을 단세포 분석과 전장 게놈 시퀀싱을 통해 규명하고 있습니다. 이는 암 치료 내성과 감염병의 기전 이해 및 개인 맞춤형 치료 전략 개발에 기여하고자 합니다.

Viruses accumulate mutations under the influence of natural selection and host-virus interactions. Through a systematic comparison of 351,525 full viral genome sequences collected during the recent COVID-19 pandemic, we reveal the spectrum of SARS-CoV-2 mutations.
