Low SES at the time of cancer diagnosis is associated with increased risk of OS and CSS in elderly patients. Depending on cancer sites, different patterns of OS and CSS were observed according to SES. Further elucidation of the causes underlying these phenomena is needed along with appropriate support for elderly cancer patients with low SES.

Cardiac radioablation is emerging as an alternative option for refractory ventricular arrhythmias. However, the immediate acute effect of high-dose irradiation on human cardiomyocytes remains poorly known. Twelve weeks following treatment could be the optimal timing to determine PsPD or true progression. MRI with gadolinium enhancement alone is not sufficient to characterize tumor response or growth. Clinical correlation with adequate follow-up duration and histopathologic validation may be helpful in discriminating PsPD from true progression.

In this small case series of 6 patients, without a comparison group, cardiac radioablation appeared to decrease the intractable VT burden. A therapeutic effect was apparent within 1-2 days after treatment but was variable by etiology of cardiomyopathy.

The data clearly showed that a higher FIGO stage was correlated with a worse survival outcome and higher severe late toxicity. Therefore, precise RT and careful observation are crucial in advanced vaginal cancer. In this study, the HPV status was not related to the survival outcome, but its further investigation is needed.

RT is effective in local control of NAKS resulting great response rate.
