연구실 소개
전주홍 교수의 연구실은 암 치료 신약 개발을 목표로, 자연계 유래 화합물인 게라니올과 트랜스글루타민아제 억제제의 항암 메커니즘을 체계적으로 규명하고 있습니다. 특히, 프로스타트암 세포에서의 세포 사멸 유도, 자가포식(apoptosis와 autophagy의 상호작용), 그리고 전사 인자 E2F8를 통한 유전자 발현 조절을 중심으로 분자 기전을 연구하고 있으며, TG2 단백질의 기능과 억제 메커니즘에 대한 생화학적 구조 해석도 함께 진행하고 있습니다. 이는 암 치료 및 신경퇴행성 질환, 유전자 변형 질환 등에 응용 가능한 기초 연구입니다.
