This study examined job satisfaction and job stress across 19 higher education systems. We classified the 19 countries according to their job satisfaction and job stress and applied regression analysis to test whether new public management has impacts on either or both job satisfaction and job stress. 이 연구는 대학생의 학업성취도와 이에 영향을 미치는 요소들의 관계를 인과모형으로 설정 하고 구조방정식을 통하여 분석한 것이다. 대학생의 학업성취도는 이들의 학점으로 측정하였 으며, 학업성취도에 영향을 주는 요인은 대학생들이 입학 당시에 가지고 있던 요인(투입변인), 대학 입학 후 경험하거나 대학에서 제공해 주는 경험 및 기회(과정변인) 등으로 유형화하여 이들이 산출변인인 학업성취도에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 이 연구를 위하여 한국직업능력 개발원이 2004년부터 2006년까지 조사한 교육고용패널(Korea Education and Employment Panel: KEEP) 데이터를 활용하여 실증적인 분석을 실시하였으며, 분석대상은 2006년 현재 대 학 2학년 학생 695명이다. 연구결과, 학생들의 수학능력 시험 성적은 대학생들의 학업성취도 에 직접적으로는 영향을 주지 못하는 것으로 나타났으며, 오히려 대학만족도 및 교육과정 만 족도 등이 수업태도에 영향을 주고, 궁극적으로는 수업태

The relationship between teaching and research is a controversial issue in higher education research. Many empirical studies have reported a near zero relationship although academics believe that teaching and research are related in diverse ways.
