연구실 소개

오정석 교수의 연구실은 일반외과 및 재건외과학 분야에서 활동하며, 특히 혀 및 복부벽 등 복잡한 해부학적 구조의 재건을 위한 소견편 및 피막을 포함한 자유형 피부편 이식술에 중점을 두고 있습니다. 또한, 세균을 이용한 유전자 발현 조절 기술과 고온가스터빈 엔진의 연소 안정성 문제에 대한 기계공학적 분석까지 다학제적 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 특히, 라디얼 전면편(LAFF)을 이용한 혀 재건은 기존의 라디얼 전면편보다 더 우수한 기능적· esthetic 결과를 기대할 수 있어 임상적 우선 선택으로 평가되고 있습니다.

The LAFF is hairless, thin (especially with lateral epicondyle approach), and potentially sensate. They are advantageous features for tongue tip and hemi-tongue reconstruction. Donor site sacrifices the inessential posterior radial collateral artery, and the scar is hidden under short sleeve shirts. We believe that LAFF can be considered as the first choice flap for hemitongue reconstruction, over radial forearm free flaps.

Temperature Management Strategy for Efficient Gene Expression in a Thermally Inducible Escherichia coli/Bacteriophage System

In a two-phase operation, E. coli containing λSNU1 (Q-S-) in the chromosome is typically cultured at 33℃ and cloned gene expression is induced by elevating the temperature. At least 40℃ is necessary for complete induction of cloned gene expression; however, temperatures above 40℃ have been shown to inhibit cloned gene expression. The study of nitrogen dilution effect on the flame stability was experimentally investigated in a non-premixed turbulent lifted hydrogen jet with coaxial air.
