연구실 소개

주건 교수의 연구실은 자가면역성 뇌염을 비롯한 뇌신경질환의 진단 및 치료에 초점을 맞추고 있으며, 특히 항체 유도성 뇌염의 면역치료 전략과 신경보호 작용을 갖는 천연물질의 신경기능 개선 효과를 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 임상적 적용이 가능한 새로운 평가 척도 개발과 함께, 유전자 및 면역학적 기전 규명을 통해 질환의 메커니즘을 밝혀내는 데에도 기여하고 있습니다. 특히, 토실리주맙과 같은 생체리듬 조절 면역치료제의 신경질환 적용 가능성에 대한 임상적 탐색도 활발히 진행 중입니다.

Diffusion-weighted imaging in our patient indicated that the magnetic resonance imaging abnormalities of the affected cortex were due to cytotoxic edema caused by neuronal excitotoxicity during prolonged SE. Diffusion-weighted imaging can be used in the localization of seizure focus for predicting the prognosis of the affected tissue and for researching the basic pathophysiology of SE.
