연구실 소개

최경호 교수의 연구실은 환경독소와 화학물질의 생물학적 영향을 중심으로 한 환경독성학 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 주로 희귀불소화합물(PFAS), 항생제, 벤조페논 유사 화합물, 인산염 에스터(OPEs) 등의 환경오염물질이 수생 생물 및 인간에 미치는 독성 영향을 다각도로 분석하고 있으며, 세포배양 및 어류 배아 모델을 활용한 분자생물학적 연구를 병행합니다. 특히 환경 노출이 만성질환(예: 만성신질환)과 연결되는 메커니즘을 통계적·역학적 접근으로 규명하고자 합니다.

Because of their global distribution, persistence, and tendency to bioaccumulate, concerns about perfluorooctane sulfonic acid (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) are growing. We determined the toxicity of PFOS and PFOA in several freshwater organisms, including two cladocerans, Daphnia magna and Moina macrocopa, and the teleost Oryzias latipes. In general, PFOS is approximately 10 times more toxic than PFOA in these organisms. In M. macrocopa, the median lethal concentration (LC50) was 17.
