연구실 소개
조민준 교수의 연구실은 주로 골다공로시스 및 척추압박성 골절(OVCF)의 예방과 치료 전략에 초점을 맞추고 있으며, 특히 약물 치료(예: 레조드론산, 파arat히르몬, 로모소주맙 등)의 임상적 효과와 안전성에 대한 고급 증거 기반 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 또한, 뼈 대체재로 활용 가능한 다공성 인산칼슘 세라믹 스캐폴드의 3D 프린팅 기반 제작 기술과 생체 환경에서의 상호작용 메커니즘에 대해서도 핵심 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 골다공로시스의 위험 인자 분석과 함께, 조기 진단 및 예방 전략의 중요성을 강조하는 임상 연구도 함께 진행되고 있습니다.

15Zoledronate, alendronate, risedronate, etidronate, ibandronate, parathyroid hormone, denosumab and selective estrogen receptor modulators had significant secondary prevention effects on OVCF. Moderate quality evidence proved romosozumab had better effect than alendronate. High quality evidence proved PTH had better effect than risedronate, but with higher risk of adverse events.

The prevalence of OVCFs in the thoracolumbar junction rapidly increases with old age and low BMD in Korean postmenopausal women. Femur and total hip BMD are more predictive of thoracolumbar junction fractures than lumbar spine BMD. Patients with radiologic OVCFs had a significantly lower quality of life than no OVCF group. Therefore, this study shows it is important to treat and prevent osteoporosis before an OVCF occurs.
Although progression of hPTRCT in the long term is uncertain, after 1-year follow-up with MRI, tears progressed in 16% of the tears in this study. Furthermore, some tears were healed or reduced in size, which indicates that decisions to undertake surgical repair at time of presentation may be excessive.
Radial wedge osteotomy yielded excellent radiological and functional outcomes in advanced stages of Kienböck's disease and these results were comparable to those of Lichtman stage IIIA disease.
