The purpose of this study was to correlate the abnormal signal area on various magnetic resonance (MR) images to the infarct area on pathologic examination and to assess the myocardial viability on the basis of MR images. T2-weighted, first-pass perfusion, and delayed gadolinium-enhanced T1-weighted images were used as "one-stop examinations" in a pig model of reperfused myocardial infarction. The results of each MR image were compared with those of 2,3, 5-triphenyltetrazolium chloride (TTC) sta

RETRACTED: CDX1 Expression Induced by CagA-Expressing Helicobacter pylori Promotes Gastric Tumorigenesis

Intestinal-type gastric cancer often results from Helicobacter pylori infection through intestinal metaplasia, a transdifferentiated premalignant phenotype. Because H. pylori virulence factor CagA has been associated with aberrant expression of the transcription factor CDX1, which regulates intestinal differentiation, we explored its relationship with H. pylori infection and function during gastric carcinogenesis in normal gastric epithelial cells and gastric cancer cell lin

The prevalence and characteristics of coronary atherosclerosis in asymptomatic subjects classified as low risk based on traditional risk stratification algorithm: assessment with coronary CT angiography
Kil Joong Kim, Sang Il Choi, Min Su Lee, Jeong‐Ah Kim, Eun Ju Chun, Chang Ho Jeon
SJR Q1FWCI 4.8Heart

Although an asymptomatic population classified as low risk by the NCEP guideline has been regarded as a minimal risk group, the prevalence of atherosclerosis plaques and significant stenosis were not negligible. However, considering very low event rate for those patients, CCTA should not be performed in low-risk asymptomatic subjects, although CCTA might have the potential for identification of high-risk groups in the selected subjects regarded as a minimal-risk group by NCEP guideline.

Pattern Recognition Using Feature Feedback: Application to Face Recognition
최상일, 정구민, 안현식, 곽노준, 문찬우

In this paper, we propose a new pattern recognition method using feature feedback and present its application to face recognition. Conventional pattern recognition methods extract the features employed for classification using PCA, LDA and so on. On the other hand, in the proposed method, the extracted features are analyzed in the original space using feature feedback. Using reverse mapping from the extracted features to the original space, we can identify the important part of the original data
