연구실 소개
이시욱 교수의 연구실은 뇌졸중 회복과 만성 통증 치료를 중심으로 신경재활 분야에서의 비침습적 치료법 개발에 주력하고 있습니다. 운동 요법, 전기자극치료(tDCS, ESWT), 척추압력 조절 장치 등 다양한 신경조절 기법을 활용해 뇌 및 척수 신경 기능 회복을 연구하고 있으며, 노인의 삶의 질 향상에도 기여하고 있습니다. 특히, 병변 후 회복 과정에서의 별도의 세포(예: 아스트로사이트) 기능과 뇌의 가소성 변화를 기반으로 한 치료 전략 개발이 핵심입니다.

15This study demonstrates that mild to moderate exercise that begins soon after induced cerebral ischemia promotes recovery and that astrocytes may have an important role in the recovery process.
Our meta-analysis revealed that ESWT can improve symptoms, functional outcomes, and electrophysiologic parameters in patients with CTS. Further research is needed to confirm the long-term effects and the optimal ESWT protocol for CTS.
