연구실 소개

백성희 교수의 연구실은 단백질 기능 조절을 핵심으로 삼는 post-translational modification(PTM) 메커니즘을 중심으로 연구를 전개하고 있습니다. 특히, 단백질 안정성 조절에 관여하는 degron 구조와 PTM에 의한 조절 메커니즘, 그리고 LSD1, ULK1, SUMO 등 핵심 조절 효소의 기능과 역할을 분자생물학적·세포생물학적 접근을 통해 규명하고 있습니다. 이는 암을 비롯한 질병의 발병 기전을 밝히고, 새로운 약물 타겟을 발굴하는 데 기여하고자 합니다.

Pitx2 is a bicoid-related homeodomain factor that is required for effective cell type-specific proliferation directly activating a specific growth-regulating gene cyclin D2.
