15Carotid Doppler ultrasonography is a popular tool for evaluating atherosclerosis of the carotid artery. Its two-dimensional gray scale can be used for measuring the intima-media thickness, which is very good biomarker for atherosclerosis and can aid in plaque characterization. The plaque morphology is related to the risk of stroke. The ulceration of plaque is also known as one of the strong predictors of future embolic event risk. Color Doppler ultrasonography and pulse Doppler ultrasonography h
Clear-cell meningioma is a rare disease entity showing a more aggressive nature, clinically, than those of other subtypes of meningioma. It occurs in younger persons and commonly in the spinal canal. The recurrence rate has been reported to be as high as 60%. We present a case of clear-cell meningioma in a 17-year-old man in whom initial MR imaging showed localized leptomeningeal enhancement that had progressed into the entire subarachnoid space after surgical resection of the primary tumor.
We believe that perfusion CT is a feasible alternative modality for the successful early response assessment and early detection of a marginally recurred tumor after TACE. However, perfusion CT has limitations for the prediction of tumor recurrence after TACE.
Venous aneurysm should be included in the differential diagnosis of a subcutaneous mass, and an accurate understanding of the differences between superficial and deep venous aneurysms may help in diagnosis and treatment.
CT venography has adequate image quality for evaluation of the venous system of the lower extremities.
CT arthrography and virtual arthroscopy showed good diagnostic accuracy for anterior cruciate ligament and meniscal abnormalities.
Luminal obliteration, decreased caliber, fibrotic bands, ipsilateral muscle enlargement, and superficial collateral vein development are common CT findings in chronic DVT of the lower extremity.
The optimal enhancement of the pulmonary arteries and Fontan tract can be achieved by a 3-minute-delay scan irrespective of the intravenous route location.
Computed tomographic angiography is a reliable preoperative imaging technique for the selection of appropriate legs as candidates for fibular free transfer.
Changing the CM from the culprit agent could reduce the chance of HSR recurrence in patients with prior mild immediate HSR to GBCA, especially when the CM was changed to one of a different molecular structure class. However, single-dose premedication administration did not show significant HSR recurrence rate difference.
Background Understanding the anatomy of the lower extremity veins is essential for successful varicose vein treatment. Computed tomography (CT) venography may be used to obtain a comprehensive overview and detailed information regarding this. Purpose To describe anatomic variations of the lower extremity venous system in patients with varicose veins, using three-dimensional (3D) CT venography. Material and Methods A total of 810 limbs in 405 patients with suspected varicose veins were prospectiv
