연구실 소개

명우재 교수의 연구실은 정신건강과 뇌과학 분야에서 뇌의 구조적·기능적 변화와 정서적 행동, 특히 우울증과 자살 관련 요인을 다각도로 탐구하고 있습니다. 사회적 요인, 환경적 요인(예: 대기오염, 기상 조건), 그리고 유전적 요인까지 통합적으로 분석함으로써 자살 예측 모델 개발과 정신질환의 생물학적 기반 규명을 목표로 하고 있습니다. 특히 한국의 높은 자살률을 배경으로 사회적 미디어 데이터, 환경 오염, 약물 반응성 유전자 등 실질적인 정책 및 치료 전략 수립에 기여할 수 있는 연구를 지속적으로 수행하고 있습니다.

In this study, we comprehensively investigated the association between eight vascular risk factors and the risk of incident AD. Our findings suggest that multiple vascular risk factors are related to the development of AD in older adults. These results can help inform future guidelines for reducing AD risk.

Exposure to ADSs was associated with an increased risk of suicide, especially on the same day. This study provides novel evidence of a relationship between ADSs and suicide. These findings could help in establishing public health interventions for suicide prevention as well as in establishing dust storm warning systems. Future studies are warranted to confirm if our findings are replicable and to elucidate the underlying mechanisms.
