연구실 소개

국웅 교수의 연구실은 조합적 구조와 그래프 이론을 기반으로 한 이론적 수학적 분석을 중심으로, 매트로이드 복합체의 스펙트럼 이론과 이산 라플라시안의 조합적 해석을 연구합니다. 특히, 가중치가 부여된 트리 수와 조합적 라플라시안의 스펙트럼 간의 관계를 규명하며, Crapo의 β-불변량을 핵심 요소로 활용한 새로운 공식을 도출했습니다. 이와 더불어 생물의학 신호 처리 분야에서도 ECG 파형의 정확한 추출 및 심부전 등 심장 질환의 진행성 평가에 기여하는 모델링 기법을 개발하고 있습니다. 연구는 순수 수학적 이론과 의료 응용 기술의 융합을 목표로 하고 있습니다.

We combinatorially interpret the spectra of discrete Laplace operators from the boundary maps in the simplicial complex of independent sets of a matroid. The interpretation follows from a surprising orthogonal decomposition of the simplicial chain groups. This decomposition is in general finer than the spectral decomposition. As a consequence, the spectra are integral. One corollary to our combinatorial interpretation may be paraphrased as stating that one can “hear" the characteristic polynomia
