연구실 소개
윤창환 교수의 연구실은 심혈관계 질환, 특히 심부전과 이소성 혈관 형성에 영향을 미치는 혈관세포의 기능과 분자 기전을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히 혈관내피세포 공급세포(EPCs)의 기원과 기능, Notch 신호전달 경로의 이상이 당뇨병성 혈관병변에 미치는 영향을 규명하며, 심장 기능 저하와 관련된 생체마커르인 BNP의 임상적 의의를 탐색하고 있습니다. 또한, 임상적 응용을 고려한 교육환경 개선 방안에 대해서도 연구를 확장하고 있습니다.

15Distinct origins of the different types of EPCs exist that have different functions in neovascularization. Mixed transplantation of these cells results in synergistic neovascularization through cytokines and MMPs.
This study demonstrates that elimination of bone marrow mononuclear cells reexpressing endothelial nitric oxide synthase particularly induced a deterioration of cardiac function, which indicates a functional contribution of the vascular cell fate decision of human bone marrow-derived mononuclear cells in vivo.
ICAM-1 is upregulated by ischemia, and this is closely associated with EPCs entrapment to ischemic limb. Our findings suggest that ICAM-1 expression might be important in regulating the process of neovascularization through its ability to recruit EPCs.

An elevation in the BNP level is determined by the functional status of the right and left ventricles in patients with isolated, severe TR. An elevated BNP predicts adverse events after corrective surgery. Therefore, the BNP level should be included in the clinical evaluation and risk stratification of patients with isolated TR.
