김영아 교수의 연구실은 임상의학, 임상생물학 및 의료공학 분야에서 다학제적 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 주요 연구 방향은 성형수술 중독성향의 심리사회적 요인 분석, 중금속 노출과 건강 영향 평가, 그리고 고속 충격 및 복합재료의 손상 거동 분석을 포함합니다. 특히, 환자의 정신건강과 생물학적 위험 요소 간의 상관관계를 규명하고, 임상적 적용이 가능한 신속한 진단 및 치료 전략 개발에 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 또한, 신경질환 환자에서의 유전자 이상과 미토콘드리아 기능 이상의 연관성에 대한 기초 연구도 진행 중입니다.

15Anaplastic thyroid cancer (ATC) and advanced differentiated thyroid cancers (DTCs) show fatal outcomes, unlike DTCs. Here, we demonstrate mutational landscape of 27 ATCs and 86 advanced DTCs by massively-parallel DNA sequencing, and transcriptome of 13 ATCs and 12 advanced DTCs were profiled by RNA sequencing. Breast cancer subtype was a significant independent prognostic factor regarding both BCSS and OS in multivariable analyses. HRc(+) subtypes showed better prognosis compared with HRc(-) subtypes regarding both BCSS and OS. HRc(-)/HER2(+) showed better prognosis than HRc(-)/HER2(-) but worse prognosis than HRc(+) subtypes regarding both BCSS and OS. The triple-negative subtype showed the worst BCSS compared with the other subtypes irrespective of race, age, or stage.
Carcinogenesis involves the chemical and structural alteration of biomolecules in cells. Aberrant methylation of DNA is a well-known carcinogenic mechanism and a common chemical modification of DNA. Curcuma alismatifolia 'Chiangmai Pink'의 화아발달 과정을 SEM을 통해 관찰하였다. 쿠르쿠마 근경에서 자란 맹아의 발육정도에 따른 화아분화 과정과 단계별 화아분화의 형태적 특성은 정식 후 식물체의 싹이 15-20cm 가량 자랐을때 생장점의 중앙부가 돔형으로 비대되는 경정분열조직에서 포엽이 분화되기 시작하였다. 포엽이 5-7매 가량 분화되면 포엽과 포엽 사이에서 화아가 형성되기 시작하였고, 보통 포엽당 화아는 4-6개가 관찰되었다. 화아가 분화되는 순서는 맨 하위 포엽 내 존재하는 것부터 상부로 올라가면서 하나씩 분화되었고 상부의 것이 분화되면 다시 하부의 4-6개의 화아 중 또 다른 화아가 상부쪽으로 향하면서 하나씩 순차적으로 되었다.
