연구실 소개
조영재 교수의 연구실은 주로 폐암, 만성 폐질환 및 호흡기 질환의 진단과 치료 전략 개발에 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 특히 비흡연자에서 발생하는 비소세포성 폐암의 유전자 변이 및 예후 요법, 비진단적 수술 적용 가능성을 평가하는 nGGO(비형질화된 기공성 종양) 연구로 임상적 실천에 기여하고 있습니다. 또한 중환자실에서의 출혈 위험 요인 분석과 수면 무호흡증 스크리닝을 통한 내시경 검사 중 합병증 예측 등 임상적 안전성 향상에도 기여하고 있습니다.

15More than one-third of the Korean patients with NSCLC were never-smokers. NSCLC in never-smokers had different clinical characteristics and major driver mutations and resulted in longer overall survival compared with NSCLC in ever-smokers.
With careful selection of nGGOs that are highly suspicious for malignancy, surgical resection of nGGOs without tissue diagnosis is recommended as it reduces costs and hospital stay.
