Yuya Fujishima教授の研究室は、代謝疾患と循環器疾患の発症メカニズムに深く関与するシグナル分子、特にアドポネクチンとT-カデリンの相互作用、およびその代謝・血管保護作用を解明することを主眼としています。特に、アドポネクチンの血管細胞への結合機構と、腎疾患や非アルコール性脂肪肝疾患(NAFLD)におけるその役割に注目し、細胞・動物モデルを用いた機能解析を進めています。また、セレンやGPI-PLDといった代謝マーカーの臨床的意義についても、腎疾患や糖尿病と関連づけて研究を展開しています。
