Professor Beomseok Son's research lab specializes in radiomics and medical image analysis, focusing on leveraging advanced MRI and ultrasound techniques to improve diagnostic accuracy and prognostic prediction in neurological, oncological, and urological conditions. The lab develops machine learning-based models that extract quantitative imaging features to predict molecular markers, differentiate disease subtypes (e.g., HPV status in oropharyngeal cancer, JME vs. GTCA), and guide personalized treatment decisions. A key focus is translating radiomic signatures into clinically actionable tools for early detection and risk stratification.
